Weather responsive structure

The structure adapts to surrounding conditions, providing better environment for the users. The shape of the structure derivers from a tree, which is the most basic kind of shelter. Provides different levels of privacy and allows to experience the area with all the senses. Shares spatial principals with the neighbouring project, Event Areas, but focuses on different aspects. Both are transformable pavilions and if the same basic structure is used they can connect to each other in the overlapping areas.

Pachube

The system will use weather data from the station in Amsterdam as an input, and then respond according to the current conditions (rain, wind, temperature).
