Concept

The idea is to create 3 types of spaces and linking them together with a public route. The spaces are housing, atelier and exhibition rooms. This will offer the audience a complete art experience: see where the artist lives, see him work and see his art.

A variation on the public route can be to create a network plaza: a central area where the public, artists and other enthusiasts come together and exchange ideas, art and socialize.

Organization

This is a first diagram on how to organize these spaces. The idea is to orientate the housing on the south, overlooking 't IJ. The ateliers will be orientated to the north to get the perfect light. Exhibition spaces will be dotted throughout the building and be seen as special places. They can be on corners or specific openings.
