Excerpt from conversation with an employee at the Skatepark
"Though it looks quite empty now (only 5 users observed, early evening), you will see a lot of skateboard enthusiasts later in the evening, and the park overflows over the weekends. It is in fact so popular in the weekends that it is difficult to get inside the skatepark! We organize competitions, often sponsored by various brands which make accessories for skateboarding, such as 'Nike SB' which give away prizes. The entry for the park is 5 euros per day, and the park opens at 3pm and stays open as late as 10pm. However, the skatepark is not well received by the artists of the Kunstad and other users, often because of clash of interests. We are going to move out of the Kunstad, due to pressure from the other users. This might be a huge blow to the skateboard enthusiasts, since the skatepark is the only one in North Amsterdam, and it has it's own dedicated users."

"This is our first time here, renting out the space for a photoshoot, for a design magazine cover. Though I love the space and volume here, I should say that renting this space is quite expensive. I am not so sure I will definitely come back to work here, also because I need to find new locations for my photoshoots! "
