Concept Design - Prototyping
The concept design was a blob of ideas, which had to be refined with logical understanding and experimentation. The prototype phase allowed for that. The conceptual design has been refined through reworking details and connections. Below is a first sketch for a prototype, more than a month ago, and though the project is not there yet, it has reached a critical state of understanding through virtual and physical prototyping, to carry forward the research.

Stages in Prototyping
The prototyping consists of both virtual and physical prototyping, happening simultaneously and they often inform each other. The start was a study of tessellations to panel the landscape effectively, to allow for movement. The virtual prototyping stage consisted of experiments in kinematics, to rethink and tweak the structure based on the laws of physics, as well as testing of various softwares and plugins for external stimuli to inform the space and structure. The physical prototyping would consist of a scaled dynamic model responding to external stimuli. Both the virtual and physical prototype are on-going phases.
