Connections

The project has updated its connections with other projects from proposals to connect to various in the concept stage. Projects with which a physical connection exists include 'De Markt' and the 'Ondina Pavilion'. The connection with the pavilion is a direct one, allowing passengers alighting the ferry to either walk under the dynamic landscape or over it. The relation with 'De Markt' is more synonymous, with no clear boundary between the two projects. Both overflow into each other's space, very much symbolic of the affordance of NDSM itself. The columns from the skatepark would puncture de Markt at certain points and some of the cuboids also burst through the surface, often serving as grinding platform for the skaters/BMXers or even function as public furniture for the casual passer-by.
