Prototype #1
The first prototype was a test of the new tessellation pattern itself. A larger one, also dash-line cut to simulate a hinge, and out of thick paper, served as a prototype to simulate folding. Though the tessellation itself is found to work fine, unexpected reactions on occurred on folding various triangles. Stress was also observed in some places, which could be resolved by minor changes to the design. The various typologies of space through folding were also explored.

Prototype #2
The second prototype was cut out of 2mm MDF, with prefabricated holes to tie in different formations. Further testing on the same is required. Fabrication of a better hinge for a physical simulation of the structure is the next step for this prototype.

Proposed Prototype
The proposed prototype for the project is similar to the initial idea, except that it is hung rather than controlled from the bottom. The reason for this is the ease of application in a scaled prototype, though the actual structure will have supports only from the ground up.
