Exhibition space

There is not enough exhibition space at NDSM. Therefore this space is created. It has a close relationship with the Kunststad, so Kunststad artists will be preferred. Exhibitions will cover photography, small sculptures, paintings and architectural drawings and models, so in short it will focus on art, architecture and graphic design. The space will not be suitable for antiquities, films, furniture or large installations, due to its size and probable climatic limitations. Large objects can be placed outside in the landscape. This body is very transparent and its location next to the water will make it seem like it is floating in mid-air. Its large canopies make it a very aesthetically pleasing sight and the most beautiful place to display your works of art at NDSM.

Bar/lunch room

The lack of catering and entertainment at NDSM is solved by creating a bar/lunch room. It will become the hotspot of NDSM for after-work drinks, residents, and artists working late, and can also serve as Network Plaza when it's raining. Its transparency and location right at the start of the landscape make sure it becomes the new hub of entertainment at NDSM.

Conference space

Conference space is needed to also attract a more corporate crowd to the location, but it is also strongly related to the Kunststad. Architects and graphic designers can hire it out for their presentations to their clients and artists can meet up with their clients here. Students can hire it for their graduation presentations and small conferences can be held here. Because it will be a relatively closed space due to its function it is placed in the middle of the park to still give it some sense of transparency and connection to the rest of the landscape and make sure it doesn't become a dead end. Events can include but are not limited to seminars, lectures, network events, presentations & conferences.
